Yes! Electric Cast Iron Radiators are very efficent way to heat your home or business. As Cast iron is far denser and heavier than steel, it holds the heat for far longer once the power source has been switched off. All ElectriCast radiators are 100 efficient at point of use, which means that all of the electricity they use is converted into usable heat that will keep your spaces warm and cosy. Experts at the Energy Saving Trust, have surmised that the idea it’s cheaper to leave the heating on low all day is a myth. Their stance is that having the heating on only when you need it is, in the long run, the best way to save energy, and therefore money. Our ElectriCast radiators use Cast Iron which is much denser than traditional steel radiators which means it will retain heat for longer and thus heating your room for longer. By using our control to set your radiator to come on as and when you need it, along with the retained heat from the cast iron is a good approach when looking to heat your space for a longer time.
Yes! All of our radiators comes with a power lead and standard plug, meaning when your radiator arrives you simply plug it in and turn it on! You can also hardwire your radiator but this will requre an electricion to ensure it is done safely.
One of the key benefits of an ElectriCast radiator is that it is fully customisable. Once you select your radiator style, and the wattage you can then customise your radiator finish. Our finish options include standard paint colours (black, dark gunmetal gray and white), or you can choose from a wide range of Farrlow & Ball Colours or select a RAL colour. Finally you can choose a Gloss, Matt or Satin finish for your radiator.
One of the major benefits from using cast iron, in addition to the asthetic benefits, is that it retains heat for much longer. This means that your radiator will still give off heat for some time after it has been switched off meaning it can be a more efficient way of heating a room.
We have 3 sizes of radiators to choose from. They are:
- 300w Radiator: suitable for rooms no larger than 3m x 3m with standard ceiling heights
- 600w Radiator: suitable for rooms 4m x 6m with standard ceiling heights
- 900w Radiator: suitable for rooms 5m x 7m with standard ceiling heights
Our electric radiators are controlled byan infrared remote. This is supplied with every product and allows you to set the tempature and timing of your heating.
